Information for Visitors

Travel: Denmark is a five hour hour drive from Perth via Albany Highway, but an hour or two longer by other routes. Flights to Albany take about an hour and hire cars can be arranged from Albany Airport. There is a bus once or twice a day between Albany and Denmark and both towns have a taxi service.

Accommodation: Since the festival occurs on the June long weekend, it is essential to book accommodation well ahead. Go to the Denmark Visitor Centre for all your accommodation queries and bookings. They are on the corner of South Coast Highway and Ocean Beach Road; their address is:

Denmark has heaps of great accommodation, at all prices. Choirs might like to consider the Centre for Sustainable Living which can accommodate relatively large numbers and has modest rates. Phone (08) 9848 3310 or them for more information. Camping might be an option for you, but remember that it will be cool at night, or even cold, and rain is possible. This is the reason why all our venues are warm cosy places and we don't use marquees!

Sustenance: There are a range of eateries in and around Denmark. Some are shown on the map of festival venues and the Visitor Centre can supply further information. Food will also be available in the Recreation Centre throughout the festival.

Things to do: If you are staying for a longer period than the weekend then there are lots of things to do in and around Denmark, including forest walks and winery visits. Ask at the Visitor Centre. The local beaches are wonderful in summer, but often windy and chilly in the middle of winter.
