DFoV 2012 tickets are now on sale.
WHAT TICKETS DO YOU WANT TO BUY?
Ticket options:
1. Big Gig only - super opening Friday night concert [$40.00 full price, $30.00 concession] - this event is separately ticketed from the rest of the festival
2. One day pass - allows entry to all concerts and workshops for just one day: either Saturday or Sunday. These tickets will not be sold until the concert and workshop programs are finalised (hopefully by April) and depending on sales to that date may only be available in limited numbers [$70.00 full, $50.00 concession]
3. Weekend pass - allows entry to all concerts and workshops over the whole weekend (except the Big Gig concert) [individual $130.00 full price, $95.00 concession; family (maximum two adults and two children) $280.00; choir members $95.00 (see below)]
Concession rules:
To qualify for concession prices you must be unemployed or a Commonwealth age or disability pensioner or a full-time schoolchild under 18. Very young children are allowed in free only if they sit on their parent's lap. When you collect your tickets and/or wristbands from the box office you will be required to show proof of concession status. This includes a different concession card for each ticket purchased.
Choir ticket purchasing:
We have made special provision for choirs to buy tickets from the web site in bulk and at a discount. Please note the following:
- Choir tickets are only available until April 13
- If performer concession tickets for a group have not been purchased by April 13 you will receive an urgent reminder. For programming and budget purposes we cannot afford late withdrawals from our program.
- Choir tickets must be bought via the web site
- You must provide a postal address so that we can post the tickets to you
- Choir tickets are only for performers - non-performing members and families must buy tickets at the regular price as outlined below
- In addition to direct credit and PayPal, you have the option of paying by cheque
- Please try to sort out your requirements and then buy all your tickets at one go - there is a minimum number of six tickets per transaction which can be purchased
WHERE TO BUY TICKETS
- From the web site. Use the button at the bottom of this page to get to the ticket sales page and then follow the instructions.
- From 1st March, in person at Spot Newsagency, Strickland Street, Denmark; Monday to Friday 8.15am to 5.15pm, Sat & Sun 8.15am to 12.45pm. You will get a ticket for the Big Gig , or a pass ticket which must be swapped for a wristband before the festival starts (see below).
How to pay for tickets purchased from the web site
You can use secure Paypal credit card payment or direct credit to our bank. The details are provided when you make your purchase.
Note that you do not need a PayPal account, and do not have to open an account, to use your credit/debit card to pay with PayPal. However Australian government rules do require that you provide a residential address. You will get an immediate receipt from PayPal by email.
If you elect to pay by direct credit we will provide you with a reference number which you must use when making your payment. If we have not received payment within 72 hours, your booking will lapse.
However you pay, we will confirm your purchase by email as soon as we have received notification of your payment. We will provide you with a reference code made up of the first four letters of your name followed by eight digits. We can identify your purchase by this code, so please write it down, or preferably print out a web page or email with it on. Bring it with you when you collect your wristband (see below) and quote it to us if you have any queries.
Entry to events at the festival
If you have not bought your Big Gig tickets in person, or as part of a choir bulk purchase, then collect them at the box office (see below) by showing some ID or your computer printed receipt.
Entry to all other events at the festival is controlled by wristbands - they are less likely to be lost or destroyed than tickets and will survive through a shower or bath. You can get your wristband from the box office (see below) either by showing your ticket (choirs and in-person purchasers) or some ID or preferably your computer printed receipt (if you booked your pass via the web site).
Please note that a weekend pass does not guarantee you entry to any single concert or workshop if it is at capacity (so get to your favoured events as early as possible), and it does not include the Big Gig opening concert. There will be alternate concerts on Friday night for weekend pass holders who do not have a Big Gig ticket.
The box office is located in the Denmark Civic Centre foyer. It will open at 1300 hours on Friday 3rd June and be open from 900 hours to 1700 hours for the duration of the festival.
Fringe Festival Events
In addition to our main program we are encouraging wineries, hotels, and other venues to run events which we promote as "Fringe Festival". A festival pass is not required for entry to these events but the venue owners may make their own charges for entry, food or other services.
Individual concert tickets
Depending on the number of festival passes which have been sold, a limited number of individual concert tickets will be sold on the day of the concert either at the box office or at the door.
The price will be $25.00 or $20.00 concession per concert.
Friend Tickets
Accompanying friends or family may wish to attend a performance at an individual concert. When exchanging festival passes for wrist bands at the box office, individual concert tickets will be available at the price indicated above.
